Callitris Conference, Nov 2000
 
In November 2000 the Society joined with The Australian National University (Environmental History Program, Research School of Social Sciences, Centre for Resource and Environmental Studies and Department of Forestry) and Macquarie University (Department of Physical Geography) in convening a conference on the history of the Callitris forests. The conference was held at Coonabarabran in NSW, near the Callitris forests of the Pilliga.

CONSERVATION MANAGEMENT PLAN: BLUNDELLS FLAT AND SHANNONS FLAT, A.C.T.

Much of the natural and cultural heritage of Blundells Flat and Shannons Flat in the northwest of the ACT was burnt during the 2003 Canberra fires. In 2004, the Society received an ACT Heritage Grant to prepare a Conservation Management Plan for Blundells Flat and Shannons Flat. The report is written by AFHS member Mark Butz. Read more
